Our Dane Family consists of Casey(strictly the "Old Man" of the house), Lance, Brandy, Gracie , Maggy, Max and Chance . The breeding adults have their own "Dog House" that each has their own room and a large running pen to step outside any time they wish. They also are allowed several hours daily, each to run and explore on our 200 acres, but most of the time they stay in the yard and beg to play with us. They all are well behaved and love to be around us. They may visit the horses or cattle some, or go see what they can find to drag into the yard, but they all seem to love their home. We also have a chocolate lab, min. Shar pei, a stray tom cat and a older mutt(16 years old) that they love to pal around with.
I keep all my dogs on a regular vaccine and deworming sechedule, and all are checked regularly by our vet to assure good health. They are all on a monthly heartworm program to assure the best health in them. Once a year they receive their boosters and rabies vaccine and thoroughly checked over from our vet. The studs will be AKC DNA'd. We go to lengths to assure the very best for our dogs. This is why we offer the 12 month health guarantee on all genetic defects and genetic desease(unless otherwise stated), for we beleive that something will show up within a year of the birth if there is a problem in the genetics.
We have been asked several times, lately to stud out our males. We are NOT interested in doing this, as I have told the several that have asked. I just want to clear up the reasoning of not wanting to do this, so maybe the breeders that ask will understand. I bought my Danes to be our family pets and our own breeding stock, of OUR vision of what a Dane should be.
