Baker's Cove Great Danes

God's Gentle Giants

Casey Duke Baker's Ace

This is our beloved Casey. He was our first Dane. He is a Merlequin with pretty blue eyes. He stands at 35 in. and weighs 150 lbs. He is more of our pet than anything. He is our APRI registered male and produces very good pups, a proven breeder. He has your typical Dane personality. He is very friendly and loves to run and play. He has yet to meet a stranger. He loves people.

Casey has now retired and is strictly my baby now. He is our family gardian and buddy to my son, going everywhere he goes. He is running around with Windy our retired mom and they have a blast playing and taking it easy around the house. They prefer being outside in the summer so they are having a time of their lives just being themselves.

Blazen Windy Baker's Girl

This is our Windy girl, she is our montrearch lady. She is a very special Dane. She is a mom to every thing, she watches over all of us and plays mother to the puppies when it is time to wean a litter. She accepts all of the puppies and takes over for the mothers as they dry out (milk) and is ready to come back to the puppies. And what is even more amazing is that the mothers accept her to doing this for them. She is a wonderfully natured Dane and loves being around us and enjoys the company of Casey. She is always watching out for my son and us as if she was our mother too.

The stupidest thing I did was try to sell her, here a while back. But, she came back to us, because in my oppinion the new owners wanted a instant family member and expected wonders from Windy, not giving her a chance to settle in and get to know them. Anyway, she's back home and doing what she does best. I couldn't apoligize enough to Windy and still trying to give her all she ever wanted. You know, Dogs are a lot better than humans spirtually, as they forgive and forget and still love their humans unconditionally. I've learned this lesson very well from Windy.

Windy has found a good home and will be living in Nebraska. I am sure she will be happy and well taken care of by her new family.

Brandy Girl

This is Brandy and she will be retiring and living the rest of her life here with us and ruling the roost I am sure.
She was a very good mother and passed on a lot of good qualities to her puppies. Her last litter she was in labor for 3 days and we nearly lost her due to exhaustion of having a big litter at 4 years of age, so,  it is time for her to rest and relax here with us.   She and Casey have plenty to due and explore along with laz'n around the house.
